Adia Mei Jun Bobo

Metalsmith

Bio: Adia is a jewelry metalsmith, art instructor, and shop owner. Her jewelry line, Rain City Forge, focuses on wearable, texture-centric designs in sterling silver, 24k gold vermeil, and rose gold vermeil. Adia opened CITRINE design shop in Issaquah’s Gilman Village in November 2022, where she curates her work alongside thoughtfully designed small batch goods from makers around the world.

On community: “The more exposure you have to different kinds of creative thoughts and processes, the more you're going to get out of it in your own practice and in your own work.”

On the tour: “I’m really excited for people to be able to see what's possible in a home studio. You can do a lot with a little; it's really more about mindset.”

On being stuck: “Whether you're in a creative mindset or not, you still have to just show up and you just have to consistently keep taking the steps forward.”

On where to find inspiration: “The ocean. Always.”

On purpose: Her jewelry line, Rain City Forge donates to the nonprofit Feeding America for every piece of jewelry sold—helping to support more than 3,200 meals last year.

Hometown: The PNW, with families ties in Hawaii for generations

Her favorite place near Issaquah: CITRINE! “I love how you can see the mountain and the mist on the trees—right out of our parking lot windows.”
